Introducing the Eco Cradle, The Cardboard Crib!
- by Tracy
Cradles are perfect for newborns, convenient for new parents to carry from room to room and small enough that an infant doesn’t get lost in his own bedding. But your child soon outgrows the convenience and suddenly that expensive cradle becomes a disposable piece of furniture. That’s why we love the the Eco Cradle by Green Lullaby. The cradle is made of recycled corrugated cardboard so it’s durable and because Green Lullaby only uses non toxic paints and adhesives, you can rest easy knowing your little one will not be breathing any harmful chemicals. It’s easy to assemble and folds flat for storage or travel. A great solution for traveling parents or babysitting grandparents. Once the cradle has outlived its purpose your older children can use it as a play crib for their own “children” or store it away for baby #2!

What child wouldn’t want to take an elephant ride? The Silver Riding Elephant by Zid Zid would make a lovely addition to your child’s menagerie. This big fella is made with high quality faux leather and double stitched to withstand extra hard play. He’s also an environmentally conscience animal. He’s stuffed with recycled cotton and sponge scraps that otherwise might go to landfills. The Silver Riding Elephant also features a back pocket, big enough for books or toys. An unique adorable friend for your little boy or girl will enjoy!

Eco-friendly Kids Yoga Mat.
- by Tracy
It’s never too early to teach children the importance of a healthy body. My adorable niece recently started kindergarten at a local Montessori schoool. Everyday before the lessons begin, the children participate in a short yoga class. To our surprise-she loves it! So it got me thinking, do they make yoga mats for children? Looking for the answer I stumbled upon eco-friendly yoga mats by Lotuspad. Not only are the mats made smaller for kids they also are free from PVC and other harmful chemicals. And make sure to order the a cute little carrying strap with it so your little yogi can carry it class himself!

New Car Seat Features Side Impact Air Bags.
- by Tracy
The Britax Advocate CS model features side airbags that are designed to inflate on impact. The airbags are meant to reduce the amount of force and trauma on the child during an accident. The air bags add about a 1/2 inch of extra width compared to other Britax models, but it’s a small price to pay for added security.
The Smart Stroller-Origami!
- by Tracy
Introducing the smartest stroller you will ever own! The stroller does everything but change your babies diaper. It automatically folds up when baby is removed from the seat (the built in intelligence detects when baby is no longer in the seat). A small generator powers the stroller and recharges itself with every 300 feet. The Origami is made of 90% recyclable materials and even has daytime running lights and a built in pedometer! The Origami is expected to be available early 2009.
