Potty Training Just Got a Little Easier, Thanks to the Boon Potty Bench.
- by Tracy
Potty training can be a difficult process. Sometimes you don’t know whether you’re coming or going (sorry poor pun ;>) So isn’t it wonderful the Boon Potty bench keeps all the necessary equipment in one place? We love the compact design and the handy storage compartment for toilet paper and wipes. And the convenient to empty waste drawer makes cleaning up neat and easy. Once your toddler is done, close the lid and the potty becomes a stepping stool for washing hands at the sink. Making go time simple and routine can really help re-enforce toilet training in young children. And that makes for a happy parent as well. Another intelligent design by the very clever people of Boon!

Bathtime Helper, the Bug Pod.
- by Tracy
As you parents of toddlers know, your rein over the tub came to an end the moment your child took his first dip. What once used to be a haven of relaxing splendour has now become home to every waterproof (and some not so waterproof) toy your child can manage to cram in the bath with him. Once bathtime is over the tub resembles a toy typhoon, full of soggy foam blocks and waterlogged dollies. But thanks to those brilliant folks at Boon, Inc. you can finally take back the civility that was once your washroom. Introducing the Bug Pod, a vibrant little ladybug with plenty of storage for toys, soap and shampoo. The Bug Pod’s “wings” are actually a handy scoop, making toy recovery quick and easy. The holes in the scoop allow water to gradually drain from toys and helps to dry them out quicker. And the storage shelf at the top holds all the toddler toiletries needed for a good scrubbing. The Bug Pod remains conveniently mounted in your shower/tub, at the ready for its next tour of duty.
Teach Children to Pick Up After Themselves the Fun Way!
- by Tracy
Making chores fun is just one way to encourage young children to pick up after themselves. And what could be more fun then their very own tree? The Clothes Tree stands at just four feet tall and looks more like a modern sculpture then a clever way to keep a room tidy. The Tree is lightweight (just 7lbs) but sturdy enough to hold plenty of items. And you’re not going to need an engineering degree to put it together, it’s a breeze to set up. We think the Clothes Tree is fantastic, we just wish they made them for adults!

The Ubi baby changing table could very well be a mother’s new best friend. Designed to sit on the floor (one of the safest places to change baby’s diaper), the Ubi makes diaper changes a breeze with it’s spring loaded diaper changing system. The diapers are stored in a drawer underneath the unit and pop out of a strategically placed hole in the table. Simply lift up the rear flap of the diaper, open the fasteners, place baby appropriately, lift the front flap of the diaper and violá you’re done! It’s like having an extra set of hands. Functional yet stylish, the bent wood frame and fashionable fun covers make this changing table a pleasure to own.
Keep Baby from Escaping with the Barbwire Crib.
- by Tracy
All tongue in cheek of course but we’re pretty sure baby wouldn’t think of leaving this concept crib by designer Greg Ball. Like most hip urban parents Greg became keenly aware of the redundancy of ho-hum baby furniture. Inspired by impending fatherhood, Greg developed the x-crib by taking a humorous approach to the confinement of crib-dom by incorporating barbwire cutouts to the sides of his unique baby bed. The crib’s bright colors and playful design are certainly a shot of contemporary spirit to an otherwise monotonous industry.
